Chelsea has strengthened their squad :
Chelsea has strengthened their squad with the acquisition of a £15 million player, as reported.
Following a hectic summer that saw the Blues bring in 13 new players, Enzo Mar esca's team has enjoyed a promising start to the season. Currently, the west London club is positioned fourth in the Premier League standings and has advanced to the next round of the Conference League.
As the January transfer window approaches, Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Argentinian defender Aaron Angelino is expected to be recalled from his loan at Boca Juniors ahead of schedule. The 19-year-old defender joined Chelsea from the South American club for £15 million in June and was immediately loaned back for a year. In 2024, Angelino made 18 appearances for Boca Juniors across all competitions.
He is set to return to London next week and will join Mariska's squad without delay. Despite his 18 appearances for Boca Juniors this year, the teenager has faced challenges due to injuries. He missed 11 matches because of a hamstring issue before regaining fitness in August. Angelino experienced a recurrence of the same injury last month, leaving his immediate availability for Chelsea uncertain.
Once he is fit again, he will compete for a starting position alongside Levi Cowgill, Wesley Fauna, Benoit . Mariska's team will aim to bounce back from their defeat to Fulham on Sunday when they face Ipswich on Monday.
