Tyson Fury could RETIRE after losing to Oleksandr Usyk
There is a strong possibility that Tyson Fury may retire following consecutive losses to Aleksandr Issyk, despite skepticism from many.
In an exhilarating match where both fighters displayed remarkable tenacity, it was Issyk who emerged victorious once again, demonstrating his strength in the latter stages of the fight, similar to their previous encounter seven months prior.
Issyk secured his status as the undisputed champion by a narrow margin in May, winning via a split decision. However, this latest bout was more decisive, with all three judges scoring it 116-112 in favor of Issyk. Fury, visibly disheartened by the judges' verdict, exited the ring immediately after the announcement.
During the post-fight press conference, when questioned about his future in boxing, Fury offered a vague response: "You might see me fight again, you might not."
In this context, Mail Sport examines Tyson Fury's prospects in the sport and the overall future of the heavyweight division. Following Fury's victory over Klitschko, Anthony Joshua claimed his own championship by defeating Charles Martin at the O2 Arena, leading to anticipation for an all-British showdown.
Although fans have yet to witness Fury and Joshua face off in the ring, this may soon become a reality. Both fighters would enter the match coming off defeats, as Joshua was outclassed by Daniel Dubois in September, yet there remains significant interest in the potential matchup.
